SPIN & ORBIT is a week-long event bringing together experts from around the world in the fields of spintronics and orbitronics.

The first part of the event, the SPEAR Conference on Spin-orbitronics, will deal with phenomena such as spin-charge conversion, spin-orbit torques, skyrmions and nano-oscillators, all topics explored in the EU-funded training network SPEAR (Spin-orbit materials, emerging phenomena and related technology training), which comes to an end this year. Project participants and external invited speakers will present advances in this field on Monday and Tuesday.

The second part of the event will host the 3^rd Orbitronics Workshop, where focus will shift from spin-orbitronics to the closely related field of orbitronics, the emerging next-generation device technology that aims to use the orbital current as an information carrier. Thirty invited speakers will take part in the workshop and poster contributions will be presented in a dedicated session on Thursday afternoon.
